from a broken thermometer on the Doctor’s office floor as a kid I tried to pick up all those years ago and they split rolling away into smaller spheres while Dr. George explained metastasis to Mom as he examined her breasts through a blue gown, and she asked where did it go, and I said under the exam table out of reach.
